These questions certainly highlight missing links between The Secret movie and how to apply the Law of Attraction. Many people watch the movie, get all excited about manifesting abundance, think about a life of prosperity yet never take any action towards achieving it. It’s like sitting at the kitchen table and humming in meditation while expecting money to fall through the ceiling! It may be possible however we don’t seem to have evolved to that level of manifestation yet. Let me share a few key steps that you can do to massively speed up the manifesting of abundance and prosperity in your life. When I mention abundance and prosperity I mean in all areas of your life: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Social and Financial.

Know Exactly What You Want

The biggest reason people keep getting poverty and lack in their lives and not having the abundance and prosperity they seek is they do not have a clear mental image of exactly how they want their live to be. Most people know what’s wrong in their lives and can give you a big long list; some even know how they don’t want their lives to be but very few know the perfect life they would like to live every day. By another name it is called a Vision - Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 28:19); perish into the grips of poverty, lack, sickness and fear.

I experienced this personally before I understood the law of attraction. I was over $50,000 in debt with no electricity and the phone switched off because I couldn’t pay the bills, no job, no education, on social security benefits and a wife and four children to feed. Every day I focused on the bills coming in the mail and how much money we didn’t have. I felt paralysed with the fear of poverty and couldn’t see a way out. (The fear of poverty is the most distructive of all fears - we will share more about that another time.)

Once we truly understand the Mind, its connection with God and our Body, and our minds’ purpose, we can no longer live by focusing on our current circumstances. One of the six faculties of the conscious mind is our imagination. The purpose we were created with an imagination it to be able to create the image of how we want things to be regardless of how our life presently is. The challenge is that for most people their imagination faculty peaks at about 8 or 9 years old and hasn’t been used much since. By the time we become a teenager we are told to get our head out of the clouds and be realistic. Most people become really good at imagining how terrible things will be, they become filled with doubt and worry. We must re-train our imagination, create beautiful pictures of exactly how we desire our life to be and then live in that image with faith, expectation and love.

Here are steps to re-focus your mind and re-train your imagination:

Step 1 - Know exactly what you want. Take out a pen and paper and write down what is NOT working in your life how you want it. Could your marriage be better? Do you have the money you need to do and buy the things you want to? Do you have an illness or are you often sick? Are you unhappy? Are you working at a job you hate? Do you live in a home or area you don’t like?

Step 2 - Now write out on another sheet of paper in present tense exactly how you do want each of those things to be. Don’t just write “I want a better relationship.” Write out, in detail exactly what you want to do have and become. For example, “I have a loving fulfilled relationship with my husband. We spend time every day together communicating and falling more in love. We enjoy frequent romantic times together, like walking along the beach hand in hand or sitting enjoying a coffee together.” Describe your life exactly how you want it to be.

Step 3 - Once you have completed that task, throw away or burn the first list you made of what is not working. You don’t want to read or focus on that ever again.

Step 4 - Re-read your new life at least twice a day. When you wake up first thing in the morning and just before you go to sleep at night. Just like a child pretend that it already is, add emotion to it as if it has already happened. Re-writing your new life increases clarity, emotion and expectation.

Step 5 - Only speak to others of how your new life is. Our words create our world so our confessions or what we speak out about our circumstances creates our circumstances. If you continually speak to others about what’s going wrong in your life then that is what you attract. Start speaking with excitement about how your new life looks.

Step 6 - Have Faith … only believe!

Many people just want good things to happen and want abundance and yet doubt about whether it can happen or worry about the worst happening. This is using the law of attraction to create a life that you don’t want as we will always attract what we emotionally focus on. Worry and doubt create the huge emotion of fear. We must LET God, let the power, work through us without being anxious about whether the end result will happen or not!

I think Jesus said it so well when he told us in Mark 11:24 “For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it.”
Note the words “Have faith that it HAS been given to you … and you WILL have it” Some translations say “If you have faith…” or “If you believe…”

Step 7 - Be expectant and grateful. Expectation propels you into action and draws you closer to your goals. If you really desire something in your life there are certain steps you must take. For example if you desired to travel to Hawaii for a holiday you would have to decide when you are going, buy a suit case, inquire about tickets, hotels etc. What do you need to do right now if you truly expect your new life?

Gratitude is the other key ingredient which is often overlooked by people but absolutely essential if you want to attract anything more into your life.

If you are grateful for what you already have and expect more with the faith that you will have it, your life will be filled with a greater abundance that you now cannot comprehend. You must be grateful for your new life as if you already have it!

There are conditions of receiving and that is first of all knowing what you want, asking, and then believing you have it already! In less than 30 days and very little effort you will completely alter your focus and bounce out of bed every day with the vision of your new life.

Your life and circumstances will begin to change and you will see miracles start to unfold.

First, I encourage you to ask yourself the following important questions:

• am I ready to transform my life for the better? 
• am I ready to stop making excuses and stop blaming others for my misfortune?
• am I ready to take full control of my life?
• am I ready to embrace the challenges moving forward?
• am I ready to receive prosperity and abundance in all areas of my life?

These were just some of the many questions that ran through my mind when I first discovered the best selling book “Think and Grow Rich”  by Napoleon Hill.  This book is attributed to making more people millionaires than any other single book ever written.

Hill stated in the preface that “This book contains the secret …”  The secret that with a single application made Charles M Schwab roughly $600,000,000!!  Hill also stated “A peculiar thing about this secret is that those who once acquire it and use it find themselves literally swept on to success.” 

Almost every seminar I have conducted I have asked how many people have read Think and Grow Rich.  Often about 30% of the audience put up their hands.  Then I ask how many know The Secret mentioned in the book and almost all the same people put up their hands.  Yet when I talk to them later I find that they do not have the financial success they desire.

What has this got to do with you?  Everything!

Once you know and apply the secret you will be literally swept onto success.  Sadly, it is not taught in our schools, it is not taught in our colleges or universities, it is hardly known or understood in business or commerce.  Yet it is by far the most powerful wealth creation tool there is.  You can learn all about investing in property, you can learn to trade the stock market, you can learn how to start and build businesses, but unless you learn and apply the secret you will never achieve the level of success you truly desire.

The secret is quite simple really, what you spend most of your time thinking about, what you focus on, what you secretly desire, you will get: it’s called the Law of Attraction.  Most people sort of know that and you might be sitting there reading this and saying “Yes, I know that.”  Do you really?  Do you really know and understand the power that you have, that you can create whatever you desire?  If you do then your results will show.

I thought I understood, but I was still broke and unhappy!  I then stumbled across some material that explained in simple ABC layman’s terms exactly how the mind works and why we have what we have got.  The fact is, you already use the law of attraction every day.  Your life is exactly how you designed it.  Just most people don’t know that and consequently don’t know how to change it.

We could talk all day about goal setting, affirmations, visualisation and all the other popular ‘motivation’ style techniques.  The fact remains, unless you truly understand how the mind works, all that stuff has little effect on your results.

The paradigms (a group of habits) that are built up in our sub-conscious mind since birth control our results.  This is often referred to as our self image.  We all have an image about ourselves in everything we do.  You have a self image about relationship, health, love, money and so on.  Much of this was formed before the age of nine.

You can never outperform your self image.

You have a paradigm about money.  A self image about money if you like … you have embedded deep within your sub-conscious mind certain pictures or  references about exactly how much you are worth.  No matter how hard you work, no matter how much knowledge you gain, you will not outperform your self image about money for any length of time.

You probably already know the facts of what happens with people who win large sums of money.  95% are worse off financially within five years after they have won a large sum of money.  Why?  Their self image remains at what they were earning and by unconscious habit, they go about making decisions that causes their outside world to realign with their self image.

People go to wealth creation seminars, they buy home study courses, they join mentoring programs and wonder why they never implement the strategies they learn.  Same reason! 

Can you  change this?  Absolutely, and quite easily.  The more you learn about creating wealth the more important it is to be constantly changing your self image about wealth.  Learn how the mind works and as  Napoleon Hill said, “Money will come so fast and so furious, you will wonder where it has been all this time.”  It has for me and I know it will for you.

Can you imagine how you would feel if you went from broke, indebt, and on welfare to $240,000 within 1 year?

And from that onto millions with in 3 years at which point you were so well set up financially with residual income that you could retire and never work another day again if you didn’t want to?

I ask you this because while most people who are broke and don’t want to be spend their money on wealth building books looking for an answer to instant millions, the smart money is following a simple 7 step foolproof plan to creating unlimited wealth…

You see it is possible to create enormous wealth even if you are working an average wage job and living a normal existence.

That’s exactly what I did 14 years ago: went from seriously in debt, broke, unemployed, living in a unit we were about to be kicked out of with no power and the phone cut off, and no money for food… to millions within 3 years.

All I did was follow a simple 7 step plan. The plan is not new, In fact I learned it from others who had done the same thing – gone from financial ruin to unlimited wealth, and I have since taught it to many others since I proved how well it worked with my own wealth plan.

Where ever you are right now you must start by paying yourself first – at least 10% of all you earn.

Do whatever you need to do to make this happen, and make this happen each and every time you get income. Pay yourself first before you pay off debts, before you buy food and pay your rent…

…If you can find a way (legally) to pay yourself before you even pay tax to the govt. then do it! (This is usually possible if you have your own business or company and have your employer pay you as a consultant – many will!)

If it means that you have to live more frugally – do it! - if it means that you have to buy budget brand food – do it!

Trust me if you follow this plan it won’t be long before you can buy caviar and Campaign and not even think about the price.

Do what ever you can to lower your living expenses so that you live well within your means.

Most people are so busy trying to look affluent that they undermine the thing that could be making them truly wealthy. If you can live within your means then you can actually increase the amount of money you pay yourself and you will be able to grow your wealth even faster.

These two steps of paying yourself first and living below your means to be able to feed even more money into your wealth building fund will place you in a fantastic position to start the wealth acceleration process that comes from the other 5 steps in the 7 Steps to Unlimited Wealth.

It’s time to get rid of all the stuff in the way of your success. That may mean

simplifying; completing old stuff, getting rid of changing beliefs, habits, people,

stuff, etc.

One of the greatest ways to attract success is to be very clear about what you

want and stay focussed on your outcome. People become so blind to what is

blocking them in their environment. A coach looks at your environment with a

fresh pair of eyes and helps detect what’s been in your way so you can be free to

attract your ideal vision of success.

• Do you lack a clear financial plan for your future?

• Are you willing to be truthful and restore your integrity?
